Creating Realistic Wires using Adobe Photoshop - Part 3

 

Ok now that we have our path closed out, we do the important stuff. Next, click on the 'select working path' button on the paths menu. You can see were to find that here:

This will select your path allowing you to do stuff with it.

Click back on the layers tab when you are finished. Your path should still be selected.

Next, click on edit, and stroke from the menu up top.

It is recommended you use these settings below, however you can play around with the stroke width depending on how thick you want your wire to be. I used 6 pixels for this tutorial.

Click OK to stroke the path. When you are done press CTRL+D on your keyboard to deselect the path. You will now have something that looks like this:

We now have something thats actually starting to look like a wire almost. A few more steps and we will be there.
