Color Masks ( part 2 )
- Photoshop 6.0
Now when your on the duplicate colorized layer,
select the zoom tool:

and zoom into the area of your image you wish
to desaturate. Now select the eraser tool:

and start to erase the parts of the image you want
to show as desaturated. Basically what you are doing is erasing the top
duplicate layer that is colorized, and exposing the bottom layer below
it that is desaturated.

Now I did that do the entire purple
area of the flower, and here is what we have..
