Creating 3D Text - Photoshop 6.0 After you select your background color, be sure layer 1 and not the background layer is active, and type what you wish.
Your image will now look something like this. Now go ahead and duplicate the layer.
After you duplicate the layer, select the duplicate layer using the layer menu and making it the active layer. Then, using the type tool, select your text in the image and change the color using the picker.
Your layer menu now will look something like this. After you change the color of the duplicate layer's text, and making sure it is still the active layer ( as show above ) use the arrow keys on your keyboard and move the text left and up 2 pixels or so. Each time you tap an arrow key it will move the active layer 1 pixel in the direction you specify. Now you might have something that looks like this.
